Navigate the proofread queue
Walk the proofread rail with the keyboard — move, accept, dismiss, and clear the whole queue without leaving the home row.
When you run Proofread ▾ → Whole document, Skrebe opens a proposal rail on the right with one card per change. The rail is keyboard-driven. This page is the reference.
Open the rail
Click Proofread ▾ in the editor header, then pick Whole document. The rail slides in. The first proposal is focused automatically — you can start acting on it without clicking anything.
Keyboard reference
The rail's bindings only fire while the rail is open and focused. If you're typing in the editor, normal text input takes precedence — the rail shortcuts wake up the moment your cursor leaves the writing surface.

A typical walk: j until you find a card you disagree with, n, j, y, j, y … until the rail is empty.
Bulk actions
For two buttons in the rail header:
- Accept all — applies every remaining proposal, in document order (bottom-up under the hood, so earlier line numbers stay stable). Use this when you trust the run and just want it done.
- Reject all — clears every remaining proposal without touching the text. Confirms first.
There's no keyboard shortcut for Accept all on purpose — it's destructive enough that a click is the right gesture.
When a proposal looks wrong
You have three ways to act below the all-or-nothing level:
- n (dismiss) — fully reject this card; the original text stays as-is.
- Per-span ✓ / ✕ in the editor — once a proposal is accepted in part (one span at a time), the card's status updates accordingly. Open the paragraph in the editor and use the inline mini buttons to cherry-pick.
- Edit and accept — open the card's editor (the pencil icon), tweak the proposed text, then accept. Useful when the model's wording is 90% right.
Re-running on a single paragraph
If you edit a paragraph after Skrebe generated a proposal for it, the card flips to Outdated. You can:
- Dismiss the outdated card and run Quick Polish (✦ in the gutter) on the paragraph you just changed.
- Or run Proofread ▾ → Whole document again to refresh every card.
Pin the rail beside a reference panel
On a wide enough window (roughly a 13" laptop screen or bigger), the panel header shows a small split-columns icon — hover it and it reads "Open a panel beside this one." Click it to pin the proofread rail next to a reference panel — Glossary, Dictionary, or Translation Memory — so you can check a term without losing your place in the queue. Pick one panel from each side; it's a session-only choice, so it resets the next time you open the document.

Every accept or dismiss is recorded in the Review Log — open it from its icon further down the activity strip (past Issues and History), or press ⌘⇧R / Ctrl+Shift+R, to see a history of past decisions on this document.
